Good times at ASP, and the completion of the 1st draft of our latest script, 'The Kanun' (working title) only adds to the excitement in the air.
'The Kanun' is based on a true story, set in 1980s in Communist Albania. The story follows the lives of three young boys from Tropoja, in the Northern hills of Albania. The story takes the viewer on a real life journey through the hard days under the rule of Albania's then Dictator, Enver Hoxa. With blood feuds rife the boys must one day flee their homeland in order to find a better life for themselves and their families left behind. This is a story of survival, betrayal, redemption, sacrifice, and perhaps one day, happiness and success.
