Legislating against terror in Africa: The Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda

The LRA has terrorised the central African region since its inception in 1987. The armed conflict with the Ugandan Government has become the longest running civil conflict in contemporary Africa. The LRA is accused of numerous human rights violations, including murder, abduction, mutilation, sexual enslavement of women and children, and forcing children to participate in hostilities.
